Let the games begin!

The alumni of UPIS batch ’97 recently held two fun and meaningful virtual reunions to kick off the preparations for their silver jubilee.

Dubbed as “Game Night 1.0” and “Game Night 2.0,” the events were organized by the Fund Raising Committee (FRC) to establish a seed fund for the batch’s homecoming 2022 projects.

Everyone had a blast reminiscing about their UPIS days. Custom-made virtual bingo cards were distributed, which contained personalities, places, funny expressions, and everything else uniquely UPIS ’97. The participants also enjoyed other games such as “Virtual Flip Coin” and “Kahoot.”

For Game Night 1.0, Chris Landrito was the first to black out his Bingo card and win the top prize: Nike By You custom shoes. UPIS ‘97 couple Paeng and Therese Natividad bagged ALAB UP face masks for winning the “Best in Costume” prize.

Game Night 2.0 winners Jaime Borja and Ana Leonor Cruz-Reyes took home the Php 3,000 shopping credit grand prize.

Other winners were elated by their haul as well. Among these were a framed painting, food, cash cards, essential oils, disinfectants, flasks, clothing, Vilquin masks and gas cards. To top it all off, the FRC successfully raised Php 80,000.00 from the two events.

Here’s to more entertaining and nostalgic get-togethers!
